A toad’s life (vida de sapo) tells the true story of how the construction of a bypass road blocked the pass to a pond, the breeding place of hundreds of common toads (Bufo bufo), and how we managed to keep these sturdy amphibians from getting smashed by the, yes, passing traffic.
